Samantha Kuhn, FNTP

Samantha is the Executive Director at the JK Community Farm. As Executive Director, Samantha is responsible for community engagement, partnership practices, food education programming, communications, and development. She is passionate about the need to solve issues around food access and nutrition for disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.
Samantha studied Biochemistry Cellular and Molecular Biology, and Environmental Sociology at the University of Tennessee. She is also a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, which she utilizes to help our students learn about healthy food choices.
Mike Smith
Farm Director
Mike Smith is the Farm Manager at the JK Community Farm. Mike joined the JK Community Farm with 6 years of organic agriculture experience. Since then, he has built a farming operation rooted in regenerative growing practices, soil health, and community.
As the farm manager, Mike oversees the farming operations at the JK Community Farm, our field crops, raised beds, greenhouse, high tunnels, soil health, and compost in a four season regenerative system. Mike is a strong believer in the power of soil health, fresh fruits and vegetables.
Mike studied History at William & Mary where he was introduced to organic farming and sustainable agriculture.
